It’s one of the worst-kept secrets of 2022 so far: Sonic Origins is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 / 5, Xbox One / Series X|S and PC.
The compilation will host remasters of SEGA’s timeless classic platformers, Sonic the Hedgehog, 2, 3 & Knuckles, in addition to Sonic CD, for modern platforms. Enhancements include full HD widescreen support and unlimited extra lives to avoid the frustration of having to start over.
Purists will be pleased to hear that a Classic Mode is also included, providing access to the original unmodified Mega Drive and SEGA CD games.
The collection launches as a digital-exclusive on 23rd June. Its debut trailer is below.
